Welcome to Wigan Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website wiganvehiclehire.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services
1. Wigan Rental Agreement
All vehicle rentals with Wigan are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. The agreement sets out the applicable terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for that individual rental. If any conflict occurs between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
2. Wigan Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Wigan, you must:
- For hires in Wigan, be at least 21 years old (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification, proof of address and an accepted payment method as set out in the Rental Agreement.
3. Booking and Payment - Wigan
- Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Wigan location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are normally due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.
4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Wigan
- You must inspect the vehicle carefully when collecting it from our Wigan location and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at handover. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and charged to you.
5. Insurance and Liability — Wigan
- Basic third-party insurance is included with all Wigan rentals. Full cover details and the applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to reduce your personal financial liability. Please review these options and the related terms carefully prior to collection. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess specified in the Rental Agreement.
6. Cancellation and Changes (Wigan)
Wigan's cancellation and amendment policies differ by booking type and notice period. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.
7. Wigan Prohibitions
You must not use the rented vehicle in Wigan for:
- Use of a Wigan vehicle for any unlawful purpose or activity. Participation in racing, rallying, off‑roading or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub‑letting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorised drivers. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle is not intended...
Breaching these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your Wigan rental and additional charges.
8. Limitation of Liability for Wigan
To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Wigan Vehicle Hire Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in respect of the relevant hire period.
9. Wigan Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Wigan.
10. Changes to Wigan Terms
Wigan may revise these Terms at any time. Revisions become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of Wigan services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
